Filter-bag fat extractors.

In short: The G100 and G350 automate solvent extraction for total fat / crude fat determination: sealing, soaking, extraction and solvent recovery in one process, up to 15 samples per batch, with ≥90% solvent recovery and RSD ≤1.0%. For animal products (meat, egg, dairy), the H15 acid hydrolysis unit prepares samples ahead of extraction.

G350 fully automatic filter bag fat extractor — Sonnen laboratory instrument

Automated solvent extraction with ≥90% solvent recovery — up to 15 samples per batch, RSD ≤1.0%, covering sealing, soaking, extraction and solvent recovery in one process.

How to choose.

  • Throughput — up to 15 samples per batch, one-process sealing → soaking → extraction → solvent recovery.
  • Solvent economy — ≥90% solvent recovery.
  • Precision — RSD ≤1.0%.
  • Animal products — pair with the H15 acid hydrolysis unit for meat, egg and dairy samples.

Frequently asked questions.

Is the G100/G350 a Soxhlet replacement?

Yes — it automates the same solvent-extraction determination on the filter-bag method: sealing, soaking, extraction and solvent recovery in one enclosed process, up to 15 samples per batch with ≥90% solvent recovery and RSD ≤1.0%.

When is acid hydrolysis needed before fat extraction?

For animal products such as meat, egg and dairy, where bound fat must be released first. The H15 automates the hydrolysis step and feeds the G100/G350 extractors.
