Autosampling & batch automation.
In short: The A20 and A35 autosamplers extend the K12/K18 Kjeldahl analyzers from single-sample automatic testing to true unattended batch operation — 20 or 35 samples per run. The A20 accepts a complete Smart 20 tube rack in one step, with an automatic door, auto-extending tray and a foot-triggered switch for hands-full loading.

Robotic sample handling that extends the K12/K18 analyzers from single-sample automatic testing to true unattended batch operation. The A20 (20-position, rack-type) accepts a complete Smart 20 tube rack in one step — with an automatic door, auto-extending tray and foot-triggered switch — and is the recommended solution for new installations; the A35 (35-position carousel) is the larger-capacity option.
How to choose.
- A20 — 20-position rack-type: lift the complete tube rack out of the Smart 20 digester and set it directly on the autosampler — no tube-by-tube transfer. Automatic door, auto-extending tray, foot-triggered switch.
- A35 — 35-position carousel: the larger-capacity option; tubes are loaded individually onto the carousel.
- Compatibility: both connect to the K12 and K18 analyzers via their autosampler interface.
For new installations we recommend the Smart 20 + A20 combination — one rack carries the samples from digestion through titration.

Frequently asked questions.
What is the difference between the A20 and A35?
The A20 is a 20-position rack-type autosampler: it accepts the complete 20-position tube rack from a Smart 20 digester in one step — no per-tube handling. The A35 is a 35-position carousel with higher capacity, but tubes are inserted one by one. For day-to-day convenience the A20 is the recommended choice; for maximum batch size, the A35.
Which analyzers work with the A20/A35?
The K12 and K18 fully automatic Kjeldahl analyzers — both have the autosampler interface. With an autosampler connected, the system continuously tests 20 or 35 samples without an operator.
